Well as I write this, the Rut is I think in full swing here in Virginia. Been seeing lots of smaller bucks chasing does and see some bigger bucks either cruising for or with does already. I have seen more bucks this year than any other year but I have been in the woods alot and still have 1 and half months of regular deer season left.
We also are getting ready for the November duck season, it is right around the corner. Went out during the early season and we took a few Wood ducks off the lake. I have not shot a wood duck in a while and forgot how fast they are, those birds sure can move.
The turkeys are out during this fall and have talked to a few people that have had some luck on harvesting a fall turkey. Check your local regulations for season dates.
If you are into small game, I have seen thousands of squirrels out you should have no problem seeing any if your are hunting around any acorn trees. Good luck out there for any game you are pursuing.
Don't forget about the fall and winter fishing seasons, I know the bigger stripers tend to be caught during this time of year. I can remember plenty of times duck hunting in the early morning hours and then going after the Stripers right after. Also be on the lookout for Bass and Crappie. Check out our Lake Anna Fishing report done by our Local Guide Chris Craft for all the fishing hot spots on the lake during the fall and winter months. Stay dry and hunt or fish hard during these cool days of November. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and if you have and pictures you want to have posted send them to editor@outdooraddictz.com along with your name, area and a small story about your picture. Thanks
